Last updated: 25 July 2026

This public statement summarises our approach. Detailed monitoring rules, investigation methods and escalation procedures remain confidential so they cannot be used to evade controls.

Our approach

ChatPay operates a fiat-only service and applies risk-based customer verification, sanctions and watchlist screening, transaction monitoring, record keeping, investigation and reporting controls appropriate to our products and regulatory responsibilities.

Customer responsibilities

  • Provide complete, accurate and current identity or business information.
  • Use only accounts and funds you are authorised to control.
  • Give a genuine purpose for a payment when requested.
  • Respond promptly to lawful requests for additional information.
  • Do not structure, disguise or route activity to evade a limit or review.

Reviews and restrictions

We may delay, decline, restrict or investigate activity where identity, sanctions, fraud, transaction or source-of-funds concerns arise. Where legally required, we may preserve records and report to the appropriate authority without notifying the affected customer.

Zero tolerance

ChatPay must not be used for fraud, scams, money laundering, terrorist or proliferation financing, identity theft, unlawful trade, sanctions evasion or the movement of criminal proceeds. Employees, contractors, agents and customers are subject to these controls.
