Terms of Use

ChatPay is a service provided by CP Technology Limited ("we", "our", "us"), located at Ikorodu Rd, Lagos, Lagos 100211, Nigeria. We provide a conversational platform that allows users to initiate bank-authorised payments through chat interfaces such as WhatsApp.

By using ChatPay, you agree to these Terms.

You must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have a valid Nigerian bank account
• Have authority to use the bank account you connect

ChatPay provides:

• A chat-based interface to initiate payments
• Bill payment and transfer requests
• Transaction notifications and references

All payments require explicit user approval and are executed by your bank via licensed partners.

4. Bank Connection & Authorisation

To use ChatPay, you may be required to connect your bank account through a third-party provider.

By connecting your bank:

• You authorise ChatPay to initiate payment requests only with your approval
• You acknowledge that your bank and partners control execution
• You may revoke access at any time

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information
• Keep your device and accounts secure
• Review transaction details before confirming
• Report unauthorised activity immediately

You are responsible for all actions taken through your chat account.

6. Fees

ChatPay may charge:

• Convenience fees
• Subscription fees
• Service fees

Any applicable fees will be clearly disclosed before confirmation.

ChatPay is not responsible for:

• Bank declines
• Network failures
• Insufficient funds
• Errors caused by incorrect details

If a transaction fails, funds are not deducted by ChatPay.

You may not use ChatPay to:

• Commit fraud or illegal activity
• Launder money
• Circumvent banking controls
• Access accounts you do not own

We may suspend access if misuse is detected.

We may suspend or terminate access if:

• Required by law or regulators
• Fraud or abuse is suspected
• These Terms are violated

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• ChatPay is not liable for indirect or consequential losses
• Our liability is limited to fees paid for the affected transaction

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
